The Full Support Package

Pre-Natal Support

A no-obligation complimentary consultation(up to one hour): We will meet to discuss your birth expectations and get to know each other and assess our compatibility.
1-2 Prenatal Meetings: We will cover the signs and stages of labor, timing contractions, when to call and hands-on demonstration of comfort positions and techniques. Not intended to replace childbirth education classes.
Birth Preference Guidance: I will assist you in putting together a birth plan that reflects your birth preferences while still being realistic and flexible to emergent situations and complications. If you already have a birth plan, we will review it together.
Birth Preparation: I will assist you in exploring your options from choice of care provider to local childbirth preparation classes and place of birth. A Comfort Measures class is also available, check with me for upcoming dates.
Phone/E-Mail/Text Support: I am available to you throughout your pregnancy to discuss your questions and concerns via phone and e-mail.

Custom prenatal and birth support is available for those becoming parents through adoption and surrogacy. Great support is available for the birth mother or gestational carrier as well as the new parents.

Post-Partum Support

Following the birth, I will stay until you are settled into your room with your baby, up to two hours after the birth. If your baby is in the NICU, we will make the arrangements with your nurse for you to see the baby or at least to see a picture of your baby.
Breastfeeding support: I will assist you with initial latch-on guidance and refer you to your local IBCLC, CLC, La Leche League or other breastfeeding/pumping support group.
Optional Postpartum Visit: I will visit with you prior to your hospital discharge or come to your home to go over you birth story and answer any questions. I will also help support your transition into parenthood by answering any questions you may have and recommending resources to further assist you.

The Just Birth Package

The Just Prenatal Package

$350

Designed specifically for mamas who only want their partner and their mom (or other friend/relative) in the room during the birth but would still like the benefits of doula support and knowledge. Also helpful in instances of hospital visitor restriction. This package includes:

1-2 Prenatal Visits at least one with all 3 people present, that visit being more focused on the support people and what they can do to help support and comfort the mother during labor
Phone/E-Mail/Text Support 24/7 for the prenatal period as well as during the labor for your questions and concerns.

As a fellow mother, DONA Trained & Certified Doula, as well as a HypnoBabies Trained & Certified HypnoDoula, I would love to provide you with continuous labor support. I am located in Montgomery, NY and provide birth support to families in and around Orange County, NY. I support women in a variety of birth settings including homebirths, birth centers and hospitals located within an hour drive of Montgomery, NY. Those hospitals include Bon Secours in Port Jervis, Good Samaritan in Suffern, Hudson Valley Hospital Center, Keller Army Community Hospital at West Point, the Nuegarten Birth Center at Northern Dutchess Hospital in Rhinebeck, Nyack Hospital, ORMC Orange Regional Medical Center in Middletown, Putnam Hospital in Carmel, Saint Luke's in Newburgh, Saint Anthony's in Warwick, Vassar in Poughkeepsie. I strongly believe that every woman should have a doula to support her throughout pregnancy, labor, and the transition into parenthood. Whatever your vision for your birth is, I'd like to help you achieve it- drug free or not, planned vaginal or cesarean. It's your birth, it's your choice. My job is to educate and support without judgement. I also offer Placenta Encapsulation & Commemoration Services to all families, doula clients or as a stand alone service.

CD Doula Services can accept Credit/Debit/Gift Card payments through Square. Using your card, you can securely pay for doula services, placenta services, prenatal education & birth tub rental at the time of the transaction. "Square works with any US-issued and most non-US issued credit, debit, pre-paid, or gift cards with a Visa, MasterCard, American Express, or Discover logo. We currently do not accept HSA cards (Health Savings Account), even if they have a Visa, MasterCard, American Express, or Discover logo on them."

Fees

My fees vary depending on your desired package, family situation and applicable discounts (including Military & Teachers).

Although it varies from one insurance provider to another, some insurance providers do cover/reimburse the cost of doula support. If you would like more information I encourage you to contact your provider to review your coverage details and to read the handout on seeking insurance reimbursement for doula services. If you would like assistance in filing claims for reimbursement please let me know and I will provide you with the appropriate documents.
