No woman should ever have to feel alone, scared, bullied or unsupported through such a momentous occasion. Every woman has the right to be treated well, make informed decisions, and feel supported throughout every moment of her pregnancy, birth and postpartum. As a doula, Courtney's job is to mother the mother and support the family as a whole. It would be a pleasure to help you and your family to have a happier, more comfortable, and more satisfying birth experience.
Courtney Durfee was a founding member of the Hudson River Doula Network and Orange County Doulas. She is a participating member of Doulas of the Hudson Valley. As an Operation Special Delivery Volunteer, she provides support for
pregnant women whose husbands/partners have been injured or
lost their lives due to the current war on terror or who will be
deployed when the baby is due. She has also volunteered her support services to low income families through the local community health organizations such as Dutchess County Healthy Families. She was the organizer of the Hudson Valley Parenting Support Group for two years and has volunteered time with two other non-profit groups.
