About Us

"I remembered that the real world was wide, and that a varied field of hopes and fears, of sensations and excitements, awaited those who had the courage to go forth into it's expanse, to seek real knowledge of life amidst it's perils. "
- Charlotte Brontë in Jane Eyre

My Passions:
Perinatal and neonatal health, informed consent, inclusive provision of care, healthcare disparities, human rights, and access to safe and competent care.

I strongly agree with the DONA International stance of "A doula for every [birthing parent] who wants one" and feels that everyone should have the benefit of doula support at their birth. No one should ever have to feel alone, scared, bullied or unsupported through such a momentous occasion. Everyone has the right to be treated well, make informed decisions, and feel supported throughout every moment of their pregnancy, birth and postpartum. As a doula, my job is to support both the birthing parent and the family as a whole. It would be a pleasure to help you and your family to have a happier, more comfortable, and  more satisfying birth experience.

I was a founding member of the Hudson River Doula Network, Orange County Doulas, Doulas of the Hudson Valley, and the international training and certifying organization APPA. As an Operation Special Delivery Volunteer, I provide support for pregnant individuals whose spouses/partners have been injured or lost their lives  in the line of duty or who will be deployed when the baby is due. I have also volunteered my support services to low income families through the local community health organizations such as Dutchess County Healthy Families. I was the organizer of the Hudson Valley Parenting Support Group for two years and has volunteered time with two other non-profit groups. When not attending births and client meetings or continuing my education, I spend my days learning about life from my children, finding joy outdoors, reading, writing and singing.
